152 wounded and more than 400 arrested as a result of Israeli occupation raid of Al-Aqsa Mosque

At least 152 Palestinians were injured, at dawn on Friday, as the Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, after thousands of worshipers performed the dawn prayer in the mosque.

The Red Crescent said that it transferred the casualties from inside Al-Aqsa Mosque to Al-Makassed Hospital and the field hospital located inside the mosque, after they were exposed to rubber bullets, sound bombs and beating, noting that the occupation forces obstructed the work of ambulances and prevented the transfer of some of the injured.

Al-Makassed Hospital stated that 40 injuries have arrived at the hospital, of which 8 have been moved to recovery rooms, and surgeries are being carried out on other injured.

The imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Omar Al-Kiswani, said that the occupation forces arrested at least 400 citizens from inside the mosque.

Meanwhile, the Israeli police said that they arrested more than 100 Palestinians.

The occupation forces attacked women, elderly, children, journalists and guards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

According to Jerusalemite sources, the occupation forces climbed into the walls of the mosque, before storming it, amid intense firing of sound, gas and rubber bullets. The sources added that the occupation forces deliberately fired dozens of bombs and rubber bullets at the young men in the Al-Qibli prayer hall, and that they broke the upper glass of it.

Thousands of Palestinians, residents of the occupied Palestinian territories in 1948 and the people of Jerusalem, flocked to Al-Aqsa Mosque since the early dawn hours, to perform Friday prayer and in response to popular calls to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque in light of the threat of the alleged temple groups to storm the mosque and slaughter sacrifices in it.
