⚖️ A People’s Tribunal for Justice, Accountability, and Liberation

This Youth Day, civil society launches the Commission of Inquiry for Palestine — an independent, public inquiry confronting injustice, impunity, and complicity in the genocide against the Palestinian people.

Rooted in the legacy of 1976’s youth uprisings, this commission challenges the failures of South Africa’s justice system to uphold both national and international law — and defends the right to speak truth and resist tyranny.

Why has the National Prosecuting Authority failed to act on war crimes cases against the Israeli military?

Prosecuting Genocide in Palestine and Bosnia

Israeli Apartheid Week 2025: Legal Experts Unite for Palestinian Justice

On March 29, 2025, the International Legal Coalition for Palestine (ILCP) convened legal experts, human rights defenders, and scholars as part of Israeli Apartheid Week. The program featured a panel discussion on the legal dimensions of Israel’s apartheid-like policies, a documentary screening, and the launch of the “Lawyers for Palestine Pledge,” which calls on legal professionals worldwide to commit to defending Palestinian rights through litigation, education, and accountability efforts.

Conference Justice for the Victims of Genocide in Gaza

The conference aimed to highlight the crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, particularly the crime of genocide in the Gaza Strip. It hosted a distinguished group of legal experts, unionists, academics, human rights activists, judges, and law professors. They discussed the practical and procedural steps necessary to prosecute war criminals and perpetrators of genocide in Palestine and to ensure their accountability before international courts in order to achieve justice and redress for the victims. The conference also sought to raise global awareness of the humanitarian suffering in Gaza and to unify legal and human rights efforts in support of Palestinian rights and the pursuit of international justice.
