The director of al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza announced on Sunday that "Al Jazeera correspondents Anas al-Sharif and Mohammed Qreiqeh were killed as a result of an Israeli airstrike that targeted their tent near the complex."
The attack occurred near al-Shifa Medical Complex, which hosts a number of media teams covering field developments in the Gaza Strip.
