Israeli occupation forces prevented citizens from picking olives in the Al-Ras area in the city of Salfit, in the northern West Bank.
The coordinator of the national and popular campaign to support the steadfastness of farmers in Salfit, Adel Al-Khuffash, stated that the Israeli occupation forces prevented dozens of farmers, volunteers and solidarity activists from picking olives in the Al-Ras area, which is threatened by settlements.
Al-Khuffash explained that the Israeli occupation declared the area a closed military zone, claiming that it is “state land”. The Israeli occupation forces and repression units, Yasam, deployed heavily in the area, preparing to suppress the participants in the campaign.
