November 28, 2021The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs said that the Israeli occupation forces prevented the Adhan in the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron 525 times during the first ten months of 2021. The Ministry of Endowments monitored a number of Israeli attacks on the Ibrahimi Mosque, as well as daily attacks against worshipers and visitors to the mosque, the policy of inspections and checkpoints, the widespread harassment, and the continuous policy of Judaization, the latest of which was the storming of the President of the occupying country to the mosque.

Israeli occupation banned the Adhan 525 times in the Ibrahimi Mosque during 2021
The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs said that the Israeli occupation forces prevented the Adhan in the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron 525 times during the first ten months of 2021. The Ministry of Endowments monitored a number of Israeli attacks on the Ibrahimi Mosque, as well as daily attacks against worshipers and visitors to the mosque, the policy of inspections and checkpoints, the widespread harassment, and the continuous policy of Judaization, the latest of which was the storming of the President of the occupying country to the mosque.
In January, the Israeli occupation prevented the Adhan in the mosque 50 times. It also prevented the Hebron Reconstruction Committee from completing the restoration of the mosque, and extended the closure of the mosque for another 5 days under the pretext of confronting the Corona virus, after it was closed earlier for 15 days.
In February, the Israeli occupation banned the Adhan in the mosque 49 times. In the month of March, the Israeli occupation prevented the Adhan in the mosque from being raised 59 times. During the same month, the Occupation Court approved the construction of an elevator for settlers in the Ibrahimi Mosque. The occupation prevented citizens from entering the mosque, closed it for two days, and began bulldozing work in front of the Ibrahimi Mosque’s as part of the process of obliterating the Islamic landmarks.
In April, the Israeli occupation prevented the Adhan 44 times, and settlers conducted engineering surveys of surrounding neighborhoods in the Ibrahimi Mosque in the Old City. In addition, the occupation authorities raised the flag of Israel on the walls of the Ibrahimi Mosque under the pretext of holidays.
In May, the Israeli occupation prevented the Adhan in the Ibrahimi Mosque from being raised 48 times, as well as the restoration work and repair of the speakers of the Mosque, in addition to many harassments of worshipers and construction crews.
In June, the Israeli occupation prevented the Adhan in the Ibrahimi Mosque 46 times, and continued its efforts to control it by specifying days of the week for the work of the mosque's firefighters. The occupation prevented the specialized committees from repairing the mosque’s external speakers.
In July, the occupation banned the Adhan 46 times, and dozens of occupation soldiers stormed the Ishaqiah area of the Ibrahimi Mosque.
In August, the occupation prevented the Adhan in the Ibrahimi Mosque 51 times, and began implementing a Judaization project that includes the construction of corridors, courtyards and an elevator to facilitate settlers’ intrusion into the Ibrahimi Mosque. It also prevented the workers of the Reconstruction Committee from doing their work and entering the mosque. The occupation also placed candlesticks and flags over the Ibrahimi Mosque, attacked worshipers during Friday prayers, and fired stun grenades and tear gas at them.
In September, the occupation prevented the Adhan from being raised 80 times, and closed the mosque for five days under the pretext of holidays, as settlers invaded the mosque in large numbers amid singing and dancing. The occupation also continued its excavations, and prevented maintenance workers from doing their work inside the mosque.
In October, the occupation prevented the Adhan 52 times, closed the mosque for a day under the pretext of holidays, and continued to raze its outer courtyards.
