Israeli occupation levels the site of Ush Ghurab in Bethlehem for settlement purposes

Israeli occupation bulldozers levelled the lands of the Ush Ghurab in the town of Beit Sahour, east of Bethlehem, in the south of the occupied West Bank; To create a new settlement road at the expense of the Palestinians citizens' lands.

The Director of the Wall and Settlement Authority in the Bethlehem Governorate, Hassan Breijeh, stated that the settlement road links the Ush Ghurab area with the occupation settlements established on Bethlehem lands.

Breijeh explained that the settlement street will be 670 meters long and two meters wide, and that it will be built on citizens' lands.

Breija warned of the danger of the settlement project, which threatens the areas surrounding the street by about 100 dunams, pointing out that the area has been declared a military zone and Palestinians are not allowed to enter it.

In the same context, on Wednesday morning, the Israeli occupation forces assaulted Palestinian Ahmed Shakarneh, 51, while he was heading to the village of Al-Jab'a, Bethlehem district, as a result of which he sustained bruises.
