Four Moroccan lawyers filed a lawsuit against former Israeli National Security Adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat, accusing him of participating in the commission of a war crime and a crime against humanity, which claimed the lives of children, including four Moroccan girls, during the recent Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The four lawyers said in a joint statement after submitting the lawsuit to the Court of Appeal in Rabat, that Ben-Shabbat was in the operating room alongside former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Chief of Staff of War Aviv Kohavi, and was behind this crime.
The lawyers added that the lawsuit relates to "the follow-up against criminals who committed crimes against humanity against Palestinians." The statement clarified that among those who filed the lawsuit was the family of a 13-year-old Moroccan girl who became a burnt body after the Israeli aggression.
The statement added that they attached evidence, including photos and video clips, that were published in international media.
For 11 days last May, the Israeli occupation army launched an aggression on Gaza that resulted in the killing of 243 people, including 66 children.
In late 2020, Ben Shabbat was among the signatories in Rabat to an agreement to resume the normalization of relations between Morocco and the Israeli occupation. Morocco is the fourth Arab country to agree to normalization, last year, after the UAE, Bahrain and Sudan, while Egypt and Jordan signed two peace agreements with Tel Aviv, since 1979 and 1994.
