International Legal Coalition for Palestine
It is an independent, non-profit civil rights body specialized in Palestinian affairs. It includes natural and legal persons, and carries out its activities in accordance with the law.
Vision
Creating organized and directed legal work in order to enhance the ability to achieve justice for the Palestinian cause.
Coalition Message
- Defending Palestinian rights and mobilizing all efforts in support of the Palestinian cause
- Prosecuting the perpetrators of violations and crimes against the Palestinian people.
- Providing specialized legal advice in various aspects of the Palestinian cause.
- Establishing a global network that brings together human rights organizations and individuals interested in achieving justice for Palestine at the global legal arena.
- Raising awareness among members of the human rights community interested in the Palestinian cause, in addition to spreading legal culture among the Palestinian people.
Working Methods
- Contacting governments, international organizations, official and popular bodies and human rights organizations and urging them to play their role in defending Palestinian rights.
- Prosecuting war criminals and perpetrators of violations against the Palestinians and filing cases before the International Criminal Court and regional and national courts.
- Organizing conferences, forums, seminars and legal lectures.
- Holding training courses to qualify and develop the competencies and skills of members of the Legal Coalition.
- Issuing and publishing studies, research, documents and legal and human rights information regarding the Palestinian cause.
Coalition Membership
- The Coalition consists of legal and/or natural personalities who believe in its principles and objectives and are committed to its statute and internal regulations.
- The Coalition Membership is free, and the application to join is submitted to the Executive Director, who presents it to the Board of Trustees in order to approve the application.
President of the ILCP : Mr.Dr. Ahmed Al-Khaldi
Ahmad Abdel-Majid Al-Khalidi (born 1945 in Jerusalem) is a Palestinian politician, university professor, academic, lawyer, and former minister.
Ahmed Abdel-Majeed Mubarak Al-Khaldi holds a PhD in Public Law, Political Systems, and Constitutional Law from Cairo University, having obtained this degree since 1979.
Professional Life
Al-Khaldi practiced law in Nablus. He was a professor of law and dean of the Faculty of Law at An-Najah National University. For several years, he played an active role in drafting a permanent Palestinian constitution.
In March 2006, Al-Khaldi was appointed Minister of Justice in Ismail Haniyeh's first cabinet.
On April 20, 2024, it was announced that he had been reappointed to the board of directors of the Palestinian Central Elections Commission for a new term, starting on April 1, 2024.

• His advocacy spanned from criminal defense to human rights, humanitarian causes, and public legal education.
• Practiced actively for 50 years, leaving a lasting mark on Belgian jurisprudence
